Mad Man Don Draper is flummoxed by Big Data
How many of you have wanted to do this? Mad Men’s Don Draper gatecrashes a Miller beer meeting to hear some researchnozzle (thanks George) stating the bleedin’ obvious from his pile of, no doubt, expensively acquired data. But he’s not impressed.
And what’s the significance of the plane flying rather close to the Empire State Building (this was in pre-World Trade Center days)? Can Don foretell the future?
He knows one thing: data doesn’t automatically equate to insight.
