Leica’s new campaign has something of the night

With fancy smartphones selling on cameras these days the camera market should be dead by rights – but it isn’t of course (quite.)

Why pay a fortune for a top end phone when you can get the real thing, a Leica?

Shot for cinema by Barney Cokeliss in Soweto and New York among others, to Byron’s ‘She walks in beauty.’

Leica UK MD Jason Howard says: “Leica has always been a story-telling brand. We are known for the still images that have captured special moments in the last century and with our SL System we have the capability to tell our story through cinema-quality film.

“When Barney showed me his previous films, I could instantly see the creative fit. He immediately understood the narrative of the Leica brand and how to translate this to the big screen.”

MAA creative scale: 8.
