Top digital designer Flo Heiss joins Wieden+Kennedy
Wieden+Kennedy London has hired a new creative director, Studio of Art & Commerce co-founder Flo Heiss. At Studio of Art & Commerce he worked on Brew Dog, Boots and Serious Pig.
Before then he spent 15 years as ECD of Dare when the agency was one of London’s notable digital pioneers. Clients included Sony, Converse, Lynx, Johnnie Walker, Barclays, Aviva, Vodafone, Diageo and Nike. He was also head of design at Razorfish.
Digital designers are currently all the rage in adland and Heiss is an alumnus of the Royal College of Art and colleges in Germany and Italy.
Heiss (below) says: “I’m so happy. You know when you walk in somewhere and you feel instantly at home? Wiedens is like that for me.
“Joining a place where everything is about making the best work with the best people for the best brands in the world is just so, so exciting. And being able to learn from ECDs Tony Davidson and Iain Tait and everyone else in the agency is a dream come true.
“I’m ready to make some seriously crazy, weirdly beautiful, super-wonderful things here.”
ECD Tait says: “I’ve always been a massive admirer of Flo and his work. As we continue to develop differently-shaped work for differently-shaped clients, Flo’s expertise and experience will be invaluable. The agency is thrilled to have him here.”
