British Business Bank appoints Engine for content brief

The nascent British Business Bank is one of the UK government’s better ideas (so long as they don’t flog it off, like everything else) and it’s appointed Engine to run a content and promotional campaign, kicking off in March. Customer engagement agency Partners Andrews Aldridge will take the lead role with Engine’s central strategy function and PR firm MHP (which already works for BBB) in support.

BBB supplies funding and related advice to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). Engine, which has a good record on government business, won the account after a pitch.

BBB director of marketing and communications Rebecca Simon says: “We look forward to working with Engine Group to deliver this exciting and innovative product and accompanying campaign. Enabling smaller businesses to find the right finance to achieve their growth ambitions is vital to the UK economy and we hope this new resource can be a major factor in helping them do so.“

Engine UK group managing director Simon Peck says: “SMEs are one of the main driving forces behind UK economic growth and supporting them has never been more important. We are delighted to be building on our relationship with The British Business Bank to help even more SMEs prosper.”
