Karmarama’s Studzinski hires two more creative heavyweights in Kean and Whitaker
Karmarama CCO Nik Studzinski has made his first major move since joining the UK-based agency from Droga5, hiring former Wieden+Kennedy ECD and old Saatchi hand Adam Kean as ECD and former Fallon creative Adam Whitaker as creative director. Kean (below left with Whitaker) moves from Crispin Porter London where he was European creative director on Milka and other projects.
Private equity-backed Karmarama, helmed by recently-appointed Naked founder Jon Wilkins as executive chairman and group CEO Ben Bilboul now has a genuinely heavyweight air. Studzinski was David Droga’s right hand creative at Droga5 in New York before moving to the agency’s London office. Karmarama’s clients include Honda, Nintendo and Costa Coffee internationally and BT, Cobra, Iceland and Plusnet in the UK. It employs 300 people in advertising, direct, data, digital, content, social media, mobile and public relations.
Studzinski says: “In Adam and Adam I have two of the most awarded, experienced and nicest Adams in the industry. They’re going to brilliantly complement the breadth of skills and talent we already have here at Karmarama.”
Kean says: “Nik’s great and an old friend, and I’m very excited about working with him again at such a progressive agency as Karmarama. I’ve known Adam a while, though we’ve never worked at the same place, but if you can judge a man on his reggae mix CDs, it should be an amazing experience.”
