It’s quite a good time to be a creative in London. Agencies are in hiring mode with more creative directors springing up than you can shake a stick at. There’s even a new Executive Creative Directors Council, meeting to discuss this and that.
Indie agency and mini marcoms group Karmarama has joined the fun with a raft of creative hirings headed by a new creative director, Jo Jenkins from Proximity BBDO. she’ll be in charge of the agency’s CRM efforts.
Creative team Pete Ioulianou and Ollie Agius are joining from Iris, where they led the Adidas account and Vicki Murfitt and Paul Crump are joining from Engine where they worked on Santander (never mind) and BMW, among others. (left to right below: Ioulianou, Agius, Crump, Murfitt and Jenkins).
Karmarama group ECD Caitlin Ryan says: “We are one of the few genuinely media-neutral, integrated ad agencies – for that to work, you need best-in-class, highly talented creatives across the disciplines who are brilliant at collaborating. Easy to say – harder to do. Which is why Karmarama is attracting such top level talent from many different places.”
