Secret Escapes flees to Karmarama

Karmarama has won Secret Escapes, the upscale travel club that that specialises in ‘flash sales’ of posh hotel rooms. The £3m account moves from Big Al’s Creative Emporium.

Secret Escapes operates in the UK, Germany and Sweden and has recently expanded into the US, Denmark and Norway. It says it plans to become a £1bn brand over the next four years.

Secret Escapes CEO Alex Saint says: “Karmarama really understand our business challenges and we’re looking forward to working with them to meet our ambitious targets.”

Karmarama managing partner Hannah Matthews says: “We are thrilled to be working with such an exciting British tech business.” Eh? I thought it was a travel business Hannah.

Whatever it is, Secret Escapes is a good idea. Losing the business is tough on Big Al whose ads have amused and diverted us for a few years now.

Suppose we won’t be seeing any more of her then. Sigh..
