It’s good to see Wieden+Kennedy (New York branch this time) back on form, which it certainly is with this beautifully-observed holiday campaign for Gap from star director Sofia Coppola.
The ‘Mistletoe’ one is a telling reminder of what you can still do in 30 seconds. Most auteur-style directors would have taken three minutes.
Let’s hope it works for struggling Gap. I note that W+K creative star John Jay has joined Uniqlo, one of the companies that’s been eating Gap’s lunch. Be interesting to see whose strategy comes out on top.
