Adam & Eve’s James Murphy: my top tip for Cannes
The Cannes Lions adfest begins on June 15 so we asked some of adland’s finest what their top tips are. First out of the blocks is Adam&Eve/DDB founder and CEO James Murphy (left).
‘Climate Name Change’ campaign by Barton F Graf 9000.
This isn’t just a great idea from an exciting agency – it’s a powerful political statement that doesn’t waste time addressing idiotic climate change deniers but just gets straight to the heart of the issue – that the actions (and inactions) of legislators, who are in the pockets of lobbyists, are causing mayhem for millions of people – and that they deserve to be outed for it.
It’s a global issue and a universal truth, so hopefully it will be recognised at Cannes.
