Jam hires Hardisty from Mother to plug creative gap
Engine Group agency Jam has hired Matt Hardisty (left) from Mother as a partner, overseeing its creative output.
Jam is a mix of social and digital agency and recently split with its ECD Wayne Deakin, who came from a conventional agency background.
Hardisty certainly fits the bill for a new-style agency having been a founder of AnalogFolk, global creative director of media-based strategy shop Naked and, latterly, joint head of strategy at Mother.
Jam managing director Richard Costa-D’Sa says: “Matt comes from a background of agencies that have helped define the industry over the past decade. His entrepreneurial spirit and flair is just what we need as Jam continues to evolve and work with clients in new and exciting areas.”
Jam’s client list includes Sky, Unilever, Samsung and Xbox and the agency has recently been responsible for award-winning work on Tesco Mobile’s ‘#nojoke’ social media activity and the Xbox ‘Play Like a Legend’ campaign.
Jam has experienced a number of management upheavals in its short life, possibly testifying to the difficulty of finding the right people for an agency that can sit alongside Engine’s lead creative agency WCRS without treading on its territory.
