CHI in the frame to relaunch Vertu luxury phones

Vertu mobile phones are a pretty strange idea.

Made by Nokia, the British-based company is now privately owned and still with us even though its phones sell for about £3,000 and sharply upwards. But the owners have obviously decided they could do with a lift and so they’re believed to have appointed CHI & Partners to launch a proper advertising campaign.

Here’s the brief.

CHI is well-connected in the phone sphere of course with foundation client Carphone Warehouse. Maybe its founder Charles Dunstone (who kindly supplies his yacht to CHI bos Johnny Hornby each Cannes festival) is taking an interest of some kind in Vertu.
