18 Feet & Rising gals take on the might of Nike over lack of shoes for women

Nike products (especially shoes) are allegedly male-centric so two gals from London agency 18 Feet & Rising, Emily Hodgson and Emilie Riis (left), have launched a website called Purple Unicorn Planet to upbraid the company.

Among other things they’re getting up a letter of protest beginning “Somewhere in Swoosh Central there’s been an oversight.”

They claim this effort is solely to do with persuading Nike to produce more designs for women rather than a publicity exercise for them or the agency.

Actually the website isn’t very interesting, it just has lots of pics of Nike shoes.

But maybe Swoosh Central will pay attention.

Thought London agency gals bought their shoes from Loboutin or Jimmy Choo…
