Beats by Dr. Dre ad gets to heart of Black Lives Matter

The Black Lives Matter movement has been the defining one of 2020 – pandemic excepted – and this new effort by Translation for Apple’s Beats by Dr. Dre is arguably its best commercial expression.

It asks a simple but pertinent question of (presumably) white people: you love lots of things about black culture but do you love me?

How many can say yes?

Say what you line about Apple (and we sometimes do) but when it picks sides it’s usually the right one.
