Guinness follows iD as urban cowboys pop up all over


Knew that this – AMV BBDO’s new ‘Compton Cowboys’ ad – for Guinness reminded me of something but couldn’t place it.

It was this from CHI for iD in 2016.

The iD ad has had nearly 290,000 YouTube views so it hardly slipped under the radar.

No-one’s trying to deprive these estimable urban cowboys of marketing money but…

Maybe horsing around town is the new cool: Kim Kardashian and David Beckham will be doing it next.

Anyway, imitation and flattery and all that.

Think the CHI one is better.
