Sir Martin Sorrell routs Bob Garfield at Cannes thinkathon – or does he?

What is Sir Martin Sorrell up to in this pic from Cannes? Taking a leak?

Alas no, it seems he’s waiting to address a Cannes thinkathon from The Berlin School (whatever that may be).

Anyway, at this rather costly event he crossed swords with noted adland pundit Bob Garfield (left) whose account of the exchanges is in MediaPost (my thanks to Adscam’s George Parker for appraising me of it – George is on particularly brilliant form today). I’ve read it twice and I’m still not sure what it’s all about – or who won and who lost. But it’s diverting anyway.
