Ikea transforms drab house into party central

Ikea has come up with another lively ad thanks to the team at Mother.

This one starts with a very dull party thrown by some ghosts dressed in white sheets, playing a desultory game of KerPlunk and nibbling on cocktail sausages.

A gang of spooks – all dressed up in colourful Ikea textiles – crashes the party and brings it to life, complete with DJ set and break dancing.

The party comes to an end when the homeowners return unexpectedly, and the colourful ghosts disguise themselves around the room as wall hangings, rugs, throws and curtains.
