Some Twitter users say everyone isn’t welcome at Christmas – whatever Tesco says

Sure that most people who use Twitter as relatively normal. Maybe the problem is that most Twitter posts are so banal that only the crazy ones get picked up by the media.

Tesco finds itself in a mini-Twitter conflagration over featuring three Muslim ladies in its ‘Everyone’s Welcome’ Christmas ad from BBH with some users saying it’s a Christian festival so they shouldn’t be there and others saying they’re not British so they shouldn’t be here at all. There’s also a bloke in a turban but no-one seems to mind him.

Advertisers have been falling over themselves to show how pro-diversity they are in their Christmas offerings but so what? Tesco has politely told complainers to get lost.
