Wieden+Kennedy’s Three pony gets the CGI treatment for surprise Christmas comeback
Wieden+Kennedy London is obviously making a late run to hang on to its crown as our Agency of the Year.
The public perception is, mostly, that it’s been grappling with the herculean task of trying to turn round giant client Tesco (due to report some more poor numbers later this week) but it’s produced lots of good stuff for other clients, including Three.
Three’s popular dancing pony Socks is making a snow-flecked Christmas comeback; presumably a testimony to clever CGI rather than a whole new film.
There’s also a neat Pony Gifter Christmas promo where you can send someone a personalised pony film.
W+K London also says on its blog that it won the Shots magazine Agency of the Year gong. We’ll have to take their word for it as there’s no mention of the awards at all on the Shots website – bizarre.
Not that that one matters, of course.
Glad you ike the return of Socks the pony. We definitely won agency of the year and commercial of the year 2013 (for Honda) – the attendees had the hangovers to prove it. Shots has a separate awards site. Here you go: http://www.shotsawards.com/972842
