Seems that we’re all giving this Christmas – the corporate sector anyway – and Boots is inviting donations to The Hygiene Bank (to which it’s also giving £1m, which doesn’t seem that much) along with offering a range of lower-priced gifts for hard-pressed consumers. From Ogilvy (Boots has just re-awarded its advertising to WPP.)
Like a lot of WPP’s current output you can see the business case it’s trying to make but it’s not much of an ad. Does that matter when clients seem to want what it says on the tin/in the brief? And if it helps people?
