Vauxhall is one of those anomalies of British life (elsewhere it’s Opel), one that might disappear if Boris’ Brexiters get their way.
And, somehow or other, there are few things more British than men in vans (and women of course, but they’re mostly men.)
McCann hymns these doughty patriots with bits of doughty patriotism, from Henry V to Churchill. Boris will be using it as a crib for his speeches.
Ford has tried this patriotic riff for its vans before but this is better. And McCann is near the top of its game.
