Martha Greene’s production company Pointblank Productions, with offices in London and New York, has opened a new photography division.
Photographers include Matthew Beedle, Ryan Edy, Chris Floyd, Nigel Harniman, Tom Hull, Ben Monk and Alexandre Weinberger. Most have worked extensively in ads.
Pointblank is an interesting venture from Greene, who made her reputation back at Saatchi & Saatchi as head of production. She is also a founder of the Villandry restaurant chain and has been a close adviser to Tony Blair’s wife Cherie.
In May this year former Grey CCO Tim Mellors (left with Greene) joined Pointblank, which began in 2011, as a creative partner. Stephen Gash is the recently-hired MD of Pointblank’s London office.
Pointblank is backed by WPP, whose boss Sir Martin Sorrell was a contemporary of Greene’s in his days as finance director of Saatchi when it was run by Charles and Maurice. Its part of a growing number of WPP production outfits which also include print operation Hogarth, in-house production company Gramercy Park and post-production house The Farm.
