WPP’s Sir Martin Sorrell fights Facebook’s ad corner

itpJ8tL0aPM0It’s nearly time for the luminaries of adland to head to the beach and WPP’s super-luminary Sir Martin Sorrell is no different (he told the FT he’s going to a Greek island for a well-earned break).

It will be tough to manage without him so, to be going on with, here’s SMS discussing advertising in the Facebook age with, among others, Sri-Kumkar Global Strategies president Komal Sri-Kumar (sounds a modest chap) on Bloomberg TV. SKGS is a US-based macroeconomic consulting firm it seems.

The sparring with host Tom Keene, not a big Facebook user by the look of him, is a joy to behold. Ignore the incredibly annoying preroll ad – what on earth are these doing on Bloomberg? Is this what programmatic buying does?
