Publicis Groupe’s 2020 Christmas message is delivered by Michelle Obama, while Arthur & Maurice take it easy

Publicis Groupe’s traditional end-of-year video shows an overweight and under-groomed Arthur Sadoun and Maurice Levy lounging on the sofa in a messy office, eating junk food. Both are drinking from their own “I’m the boss” mug.

The traditional seasonal message this year has been delegated to Michelle Obama, Disney boss Bob Eiger, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. They will host a “fireside chat” and live Q&A with all 80,000 Publicis Groupe employees, as part of a session that will lay out plans for next year and launch five key initiatives for reinventing the future of work.

Arthur Sadoun, chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe, said: “After such a challenging year we owe our people more than wishes for 2021. This is our way to deeply thank everyone at Publicis for their contribution over the last 12 months; to celebrate all their achievements in striking back during this crisis; and set a clear course for the future. At a time when most of us are still isolated, we believe it is our duty to unite everyone.”
