McDonald’s tunes into a winner in the Xmas music stakes

Christmas ads this year look set to be a battle of the animators (hardly surprising in a lockdown) and music.

McDonald’s’ Christmas effort from Leo Burnett, with some smart animation from Passion Pictures and post production from Framestore, leans heavily on Becky Hill’s cover of Alphaville’s ‘Forever Young’ (which gives the great Mr Dylan a run for his money.)

The eagerly-awaited John Lewis ad (due to be released tomorrow) is also set to be a musical highlight we’re told.

McD is about being “reindeer ready.” You get the drift.
