Adam&eveDDB strikes confident note for VW movie deal

VW SUVs are sponsoring films on the UK’s ITV with a new spin on its ‘Confidence’ theme, this time it’s ‘Movie Star Confidence’ as it’s a long series of idents plus online films from adam&eveDDB, inverting movie jeopardy set-ups.

These VW SUV drivers react to such inconveniences with, well, movie star confidence.

So there’s this one with an American spy showing off his Russian.

OK.

Sang froid in the face of zombies.

Better – quite intriguing.

And a feisty lawyer.

The best of a pretty impressive bunch.

VW UK national communications manager Glyn Butterworth says: “Over the years Volkswagen have had some fantastic partnerships with film and this years’ ITV Movies sponsorship is no different. This year we have another great platform to showcase our complete range of SUVs with the light-hearted and humorous storytelling the Volkswagen brand is known for. Along with the team at adam&eveDDB we’re very proud to continue that heritage with this latest work.”

Directed by the lauded David Shane and and all written and art directed by Matt Gay it seems, who deserves an award for industry as well as anything else.

A proper campaign, albeit one welded together to incorporate a TV deal, and what adam&eve does best.
