Brown-Forman’s Chambord looks for new creative agency

Raspberry liqueur brand Chambord is looking for a new creative agency after four years with Wieden+Kennedy. W+K declined to pitch although it still handles Chambord owner Brown-Forman’s Finlandia vodka.

Brown-Forman marketing manager Emily Richardson says: “This year, we will be creating a new through-the-line campaign to speak to and engage our consumers across different channels. As part of this, we are looking for a creative agency to work with us and to devise what this campaign will look like, with Creativebrief managing the pitch process.

“We’re excited to find the right creative agency and further develop this campaign, and continue building brand awareness for Chambord.”

W+K produced a series of lively campaigns for Chambord on the theme ‘Because no reason,’ a high wire act as someone at the client, best-known for Jack Daniel’s whiskey, was likely to observe that there had to be some reason to buy it.

W+K in Portland scored heavily with its debut for Brown-Forman’s Southern Comfort with ‘Whatever’s Comfortable’ but Brown-Forman sold the brand a couple of years ago. Maybe W+K has bigger fish to fry.
