McDonald’s celebrates (nearly) 50 years of UK Big Macs with an even bigger one

McDonald’s is celebrating 50 years of the Big Mac with the even bigger Grand Big Mac (which will doubtless cause a kerfuffle in certain places) with a series of global ads including this for the UK from Leo Burnett.

McDonald’s hasn’t actually been in the UK for 50 years but never mind. The ad opens with what looks like Robert Plant so that places it some time in the 1970s.

Surprising these days there isn’t an end line saying please eat responsibly.

Shows the Burnett/McDonald’s common touch.

MAA creative scale: 7.
