Adam&eve signs up Famous Five for nostalgic GWR debut

Adam&eveDDB has enlisted Enid Blyton’s Famous Five for its Great Western Railways debut – ‘Adventures Start Here.’

GWR head of marketing Amanda Burns says: “As part of our modernisation programme and commitment to revaluing rail in the hearts and minds of the travelling public, we wanted a campaign that would focus on inspiring journeys and a more inspiring way to travel.

“GWR have an incredible new fleet coming into service over the next 18 months, with more capacity than ever, so we want to showcase our great product and the wonderful destinations on our network, to encourage more customers to travel with us and reconsider the benefits of rail travel with GWR.”

But why would anyone desire a nostalgic return to holidays by the Devon and Cornwall seasides when you can fly abroad with Ryanair? OK, don’t answer that.

A&E is hitting a rich vein of form and you can’t imagine this being done better.

Which leads to: MAA creative scale – 9.
