Like all such festivals Cannes is about networking, getting to know as many people as possible.
And it’s hot, in the south of France and, being France, prone to occasional outbreaks of joie de vivre.
One such appears to have occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, a couple going at it on the red carpet (below – you’ll have to look hard).
