Can BMW’s new i8 transform image of electric cars?
Here’s another car ad ‘running footage’ as my friend Jerry Judge of Fearless Group calls it – roaring through the desert, which we do all the time of course – but there’s a twist.
This one’s for a hybrid electric plug-in and it’s no Toyota Prius pottering around town. BMW is grasping the (mainly) electric nettle with the i8, the one-time concept car that many thought would never escape the drawing board.
Actor Michael Hazeldine does his (corny) bit too and so does Munich agency ServicePlan.
It’s probably BMW’s biggest gamble yet but the Bavarians usually deliver.
