Here’s another early-breaking Super Bowl winner, this time for for Volkswagen, plugging the longevity of its cars.
Who said the Germans couldn’t laugh at themselves? Actually they do it quite a lot in car ads.
Interestingly this rather finely-crafted effort – which is backed by all the usual digital bells and whistles including reactions to the score in the game itself – comes from a newish San Francisco agency Argonaut, not usual creative shop Deutsch LA (which produced the celebrated ‘The Force’ Darth Vader ad a few years ago).
Perhaps we ought to keep an eye on Argonaut (whose founders comes from Goodby Silverstein and W+K Amsterdam among other places). I’m sure Deutsch LA will be.
