MAA blast from the past: Kia Niro takes a ‘hero’s journey’

Would Kia try this again just a few years later? Its 2017 Super Bowl effort from David&Goliath deploys slapstick to winning effect with Melissa McCarthy as the hapless eco-warrior suffering all sorts of indignities.

For the Kia Niro, an eco-friendly crossover hybrid (or something.)

You rarely get laugh-out-loud ads these days, perhaps because such humour usually depends on taking the piss out of someone or something – and both entities will have their vociferous social media supporters.

Shame.
