Footasylum makes Xmas debut at home with the Redknapps

There’s a new wave of Christmas ads in the UK – oh, no. Actually they may have got it right, don’t some of the biggies show their hand too early?

Footasylum, which calls itself a streetwear retailer, is entering the lists for the first time with an in-house effort via production company Chief – telling us that “tradition is boring.” So we have Harry and Sandra Redknapp’s Christmas festivities interrupted by “YouTube sensations” Chunkz, Yung Filly and Amelia Dimoldenburg.

‘Arry is obviously on first name terms with all of them (not sure we entirely believe this.)

Jam roly-poly indeed. Most some of us can manage is a cantucci e vin santo.

Footasylum head of marketing Howard Tattersall says: “We are a contemporary brand, increasingly known for entertaining our consumers and audiences with funny and engaging content, featuring celebrities they can relate to. This ad brings all that together – subverting the traditional Christmas and bringing it bang up to date for our consumers and their families.”

Quite good fun, nicely shot by Chief.
