Deloitte Digital poaches McCann boss, MPC speeds up move into advertising
We hear a lot about Accenture Interactive, less about Deloitte Digital which runs a sizable operation encroaching on adland’s traditional turf.
Now DD has hired McCann New York COO Rich Whalen as MD of its US creative and studio offering, 48 studios in all.
DD head Anthony Stephan says: “With decades of experience running large agency operations, we’re confident Rich will scale, integrate and optimize our rapidly growing studio network. His deep agency strategy and operations expertise will make him a tremendous resource for both our clients, and our cross-agency team as they seek to deliver the next generation of experiences.
“Rich’s people management and development skills are some of his biggest strengths, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring him on board during this time of tremendous growth and continued evolution.”
At the same time VFX giant MPC has rebranding back to its original name of Moving Picture Company, as it broadens its offer to include more direct-to-client work. Technicolor-owned MPC recently hired former Y&R global president David Patton to oversee the company’s expansion.
