Good to see Victoria Milligan returning to the media agency fold as marketing and communications director of Dentsu Aegis Network UK & Ireland.
She is the widow of Sky sales boss Nick Milligan who died with their eight year old daughter Emily in a tragic speedboat accident in Cornwall in 2013. She lost part of her left leg in the accident.
Milligan (below) began her career at BBJ which was later sold to Aegis and became Vizeum. She has also worked at Mediavest and Walker Media (now Blue449). In her new role she will co-ordinate the marketing and communications of DAN agencies Carat, Vizeum, iProspect, Fetch and Amplifi, reporting to DAN Media Brands boss Matthew Platts. Recently she has been a writer and broadcaster.
Milligan says: “I’m grateful to Dentsu Aegis for giving me this opportunity and recognising the transferable skills women like me bring to the workplace after a break. I look forward to being back in the media industry, and bringing a fresh perspective along with my communications experience.
“Dentsu Aegis has expanded considerably in recent years and offers a breadth of specialist capabilities. Clients can access these through each of the media brands and I want to help communicate this to the marketplace.”
