Hornby makes triumphant reappearance at own bash
Was stunned to see a report on the Sunday Times Business News’ Christmas party with no picture of CHI/ The&Partnership’s Johnny Hornby, traditionally captured schmoozing the great and not so good of the business world. Had something untoward occurred, we thought anxiously.
Thankfully all is well and here he is with, among others, Peter (Lord) Mandelson and others including PR box of energy Jenny Halpern Prince at his own bash, held at posh Mark’s Club in Mayfair. Hornby is the one wondering what Mandelson’s going to do next. Mandelson was a shareholder in Hornby’s CHI when it sold 49 per cent to WPP.
Other luminaries included Brent Hoberman, Martin Ivens (Sunday Times editor), Robert Peston, David Ross (ex-Carphone Warehouse) Steve Parish, once of Tag and now busying himself with Crystal Palace FC (things will improve Steve, really) and CHI CEO Sarah Golding.
Golding, also IPA president, was this week voted number two suit in Campaign’s inexhaustible Annual of 2017 while husband David (of adam&eveDDB) was voted top planner. Truly adland’s golden couple although David seemed to be at home looking after the kids.
