Adam&eve debuts telepathic Bulldog, wins for UK at Clios

Another day, sorry, another hour, and a new campaign rolls out from adam&eveDDB HQ in London’s Paddington.

This time it’s for Bulldog Skincare, the skincare brand that understands men it claims. Star is a telepathic bulldog who talks a bloke out of robbing a bank to fund expenses at forthcoming mates’ weddings. Well they are silly, week-long stag do’s and the like.

It is indeed blokey, funny and to the brief. When you get to A&E’s eminence you probably write the brief too, which helps.

MAA creative scale: 7.5.

I also see that A&E was the most awarded UK agency at New York’s Clio Awards, held this week.

Recognised were: Skittles ‘Give the Rainbow’ (two gold, eight bronze awards); AA ‘Designated Driver’ (gold), H&M ‘Come Together (five bronze) John Lewis ‘Buster the Boxer'(two silver, one bronze), VW ‘Alien’ (bronze) VW ‘The Button’ (silver), Harvey Nichols ‘Bo Gilbert (below, one gold, two silvers).

All the Clio winners are here. McCann’s “Fearless Girl’ (below) for State Street Global Advisors was the big winner with a record-breaking five Grand Clios.*

*Update

I see that State Street has owned up to underpaying women for years. Oh dear, that statue had better go then.
