UK ad watchdog the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned this rather nice BBH ad – ‘Can Song’ – on health and safety grounds following a number of complaints. It says there’s a danger of children trying to do it with empty cans with sharp edges.
Hmm. Nobody wants to see A&E departments full of kids with cut hands but is this very likely? Do parents leave empty cans lying around? They wouldn’t make the same noise anyway.
