Drum offers intimate glimpse of far-away Maurice Levy

British publication The Drum has been busily cosying up to Publicis Groupe boss Maurice Levy, guest editor of a recent issue.

Part of this is a film of Maurice in his office – which looks about the size of an Olympic stadium – telling us about various objets he holds dear. One such is a bible he rescued from company founder Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet’s office during a fire in 1972. Levy’s rise to power allegedly began with this heroic intervention. At the time he was the IT manager.

The Drum says the film is best viewed with Oculus Rift. If you don’t have an oculus or a rift to hand, Levy can only be espied far way on the horizon, so you can’t see the objets at all.

Never mind: doubtless seemed a good idea at the time.
