Engine lures Church from Y&R as new business head

unnamedMarketing services network Engine Group has hired Zoe Church (left) as its global director of business development. In the new role, Church will be charged with growing the group’s global offering and winning new business. She will be based in the network’s New York office.

Engine executive chairman Terry Graunke says: “Engine Group is primed to become a major, independent global force in marketing and communications. As an expert in integrating brand communications, growing organic business and facilitating new business collaboration, Zoe will be instrumental in expanding our global reach.”

Church joins Engine Group from Y&R where she held regional and global business development positions in the US, UK and Australia over 12 years. She was director of business development of Y&R’s North American operation before leading the EMEA business out of London. She later became global director of business development where she had a number of new business wins, including Bank of America, Special Olympics, and extensive projects for Microsoft.

Church says: “Engine Group is at the forefront of a new breed of marketing services networks centered on a culture of collaboration. I am excited to help grow our business by giving clients a greater understanding of the Engine Group’s integrated offering.”

Engine Group has expanded its global proposition after being acquired by Lake Capital in August 2014. The deal brought ORC International, the global market research and business intelligence firm, and Trailer Park, the world’s leading entertainment and content marketing agency, into the network.
