Cara Delevingne makes musical debut in Lagerfeld’s Christmas epic for Chanel

Another glitzy yuletide duet. Yesterday we had Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett for H&M, today (rather further up the fashion scale) it’s the unlikely pairing of Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne for Chanel in a glossy film, ‘Reincarnation’ – directed by Chanel head honcho Karl Lagerfeld, no less.

Wonder if he took his shades off behind the camera? No doubt he had some expert help.

It also features Geraldine Chaplin as Gabrielle Chanel (Coco to you and me) and her discovery of the iconic Chanel jacket (it says here), inspired by a bellhop (played by Pharrell) in Salzburg in 1954.

We could mock and suggest Karl sticks to the day job. But actually it’s quite engrossing. And Cara seems to know how to handle a tune.
