Anchor win gives Seattle’s Creature a leg up in London

Creature London, the newish offshoot of Seattle’s Creature, is reported to have won Arla Foods’ £4m Anchor butter account. Anchor has been with CHI & Partners, which didn’t repitch, for 11 years.

Anchor is one of those accounts that’s quite famous (although it’s not that big) because it’s been advertising on TV for decades.

Creature pipped Dare, Krow and Leo Burnett to the business and joins Wieden+Kennedy on Arla’s roster.

London has a whole gaggle of start-ups and offshoots of US-based agencies vying to establish themselves as credible rivals to the holding company-owned big boys, like adam&eveDDB and AMV/BBDO, who have had things pretty much their own way recently. The US group includes Crispin Porter (which has just resigned Paddy Power out of exhaustion), Mcgarrybowen and Droga5.

Creature London has won some business from Adidas and as well as newbie agency-type accounts like the Science Museum.
