Johnnie Walker embarks on new ‘advertainment’ voyage
Here’s a taster of an upcoming epic from Johnnie Walker Blue Label, from Anomaly, featuring Jude Law as a rather dodgy character. Directed by Jake Scott.
Both client and agency scored mightily with the ‘Keep Walking’ campaign, of course.
I saw somewhere the other day that WPP boss Sir Martin Sorrell worried that his agencies were good at producing 30-second commercials (or whatever) but weren’t so good at ‘content.’
But that’s precisely their point – they can distil a sales message into a short space. Most ‘content’ just rambles on.
Maybe Johnnie Walker will confound this antideluvian view of such messages.
