Lowe agencies sweep up at Iberian El Sol awards
The awards season is well and truly on us with Cannes looming on the near horizon.
There are far too many to cover but it’s worth noting that Lowe & Partners has swept the board at the recent El Sol festival for Ibero-American communications, a big sector these days.
Lowe’s Lola agency in Barcelona and Madrid won 15 awards in total including the outdoor grand prix for Mattel with this digital effort while its South American agencies – Lowe SSP3 Colombia, Borghi Lowe in Brazil and Ponce Buenos Aires (about time Ponce came to the UK I think) – won 14 in total, for Axe (below) among others. Lowe, unsurprisngly, won the network of the year gong.
Lowe and Partners CEO Michael Wall says: “Winning both the network and the agency of the year awards at El Sol is a further sign of Lowe’s continued progress. I’m particularly pleased for our Lola guys. In the last year they have led and won international business for Mattel and VW Seat, opened a new office in Barcelona and now get some of the recognition they deserve for a really strong portfolio of work.”
