Pakistan superstar Mathira does her bit for DKT and strawberry-flavoured condoms

Pakistan is one of those countries that you get a certain view of from news programmes – and, mostly, you go along with former England cricket star Sir Ian Botham who famously observed that it would be a good place to send your mother-in-law.

But, in a country of 300m people, you get all sorts and here’s an interesting ad from safe sex NGO DKT International promoting strawberry-flavoured condoms. Even more interesting, perhaps, it features local celeb Mathira – who’s, presumably, taking a bit of a chance.

It’s been banned of course, but that was presumably the intention (saves on airtime costs). Strawberry-flavoured huh? What’s wrong with chilli and chocolate?
