Coke’s anti-obesity campaign from David is still carrying a bit too much fat

Coca-Cola is making a manful effort to fend off accusations of fuelling obesity and here’s the latest, an ad from Ogilvy boutique agency David that suggests we should ‘live like grandpa did.’

Grandpa, who walks, cycles, eats small home-made sandwiches and dines on home-cooked spaghetti with tomato sauce is contrasted with a trendy modern scoffer (his grandson).

It’s all very nicely done, charming in fact (with a reminder of what a good record Tom Jones’ It’s Not Unusual was back in the day) but….what are we supposed to do?

Keep on drinking Coke it seems.
