Saatchi & Saatchi’s New Directors Showcase plays a different creative tune

Saatchi and Saatchi’s New directors’ Showcase, showcased on Wednesday, is one of the highlights of the Canes Lions festival and this year’s – called ‘Just For Hits’ as music played a leading role in the entries – was as good as ever.

Saatchi even managed to wheel out Professor Richard Dawkins (left) – author of The Selfish Gene and noted atheist – for the event.

This year’s was a pretty controversial selection too, with some gory and sexy offerings. You can see them all here.

Here’s one that’s neither from Ryan Hope called ‘Lights’ with music from The Alpines.

But it’s beautifully done and should land young Ryan a job the next time some advertiser wants to make wandering around a warehouse look compelling (the action starts later on).
