Above+Beyond makes two top creative hirings

One of London’s new style agencies Above+Beyond – which aims to bring together diverse talents from film, music, branding and advertising – has made two senior creative hires: Ben Da Costa as creative director from CHI and senior creative Nathalie Gordon from Sunshine.

Da Costa worked on Lexus’ award-winning ‘Slide’ at CHI. Gordon co-founded #thisdoesntmeanyes, Taxi Fabric and The SoWhite Project.

Above+Beyond ECD David Billings (above right with Da Costa and Gordon) says: “Like me, Ben is a stranger in a strange land. The fact that he didn’t start in advertising but out there dealing with real entertainment properties hugely excited me.

“He’s had a weird, wonderful and rapid journey to creative directorship and is all the better for it.
Nat is the living proof that the boundaries between advertising, PR, journalism and activism have blurred irrevocably. She’s a one woman think tank, journalist, polemicist and mischief maker.. and a creative.”

Above+Beyond increased its 2016 billings by 57 per cent, moving up the Campaign/Nielsen league table to 28. The agency has won a number of new clients recently including Ornua Foods.
