London outfit Coco de Mer, purveyor of “designer lingerie, luxurious bondage and seductive sex toys” – an upmarket Ann Summers in other words – is celebrating Valentine’s Day (February 14 you muppet) with a new campaign featuring former Baywatch glamour puss Pamela Anderson.
The spin, in this ad directed by photographer Rankin, is that Pammy’s night of passion is self-service, courtesy of one of Coco de Mer’s product lines (two actually, can’t see any bondage).
Not exactly steamy (but it probably has the YouTube thought police in mind).
But, in terms of advertising as PR, it will doubtless do the job. Let’s hope Pammy wasn’t disappointed either although a night down the pub looks more fun.
