I’m struggling a bit with this one – it seems to be a charity initiative by snacks giant Mondelez supporting children in hospital, called ‘Hello Joy.’ The big day was last week although presumably the effort continues. It seems to involve quite expensive T-shirts. But the ad from indie Paris agency Buzzman, featuring all sorts [...]

Fallon UK and parent agency Saatchi & Saatchi seem to be getting their mojo back; as in this newish ad for Cadbury’s Crispello (what on earth is that? Do we need another snack?). This campaign has polarised opinion somewhat; some find it winningly cheeky, others deeply annoying (it’s got a Pringle-sweatered dad in it). But [...]

I wonder if The Martin Agency had seen McCann Melbourne’s ‘Dumb Ways To Die’ before they produced this new ‘Wonderfilled’ campaign for Mondelez’s signature brand Oreo? They’d certainly have seen CAA’s Grand Prix-winning Chipotle. But there’s nothing wrong with cutesy animation and a decent tune; provided you pull it off – otherwise you’ll be choking [...]

Droga5, which announced last week that it was setting up a global network (it currently operates in New York and Sydney) has chosen London as its gateway to Europe; poaching Kevin Dundas (right) from 180 Amsterdam as its CEO and bringing over former Mother creative Nik Studzinski from its New York office as head creative [...]

Mondelez is pretty active at the moment and the former Kraft snacks business is launching Cadbury Wispa Hot Chocolate (Wispa’s a Cadbury chocolate brand) with this new TV campaign, ‘Frothy Beast’ (as opposed to sexy beast), from Fallon. Which rather makes you wonder why they don’t call the business Cadbury not Mondelez. The beast himself [...]

Wieden+Kennedy Portland isn’t supposed to be Mondelez-owned Oreo’s ad agency (that’s officially shared between DraftFCB and The Martin Agency), it just keeps producing Oreo ads. Here’s the latest on the ‘Cookies and Cream’ theme. And it’s fine, a simple dramatisation of the brief really (which usually makes clients happy). With the 2013 awards season creeping [...]

It’s over a year now since Peralta founder and CEO Alexandre Peralta (pictured) expunged (literally so) the StrawberryFrog images sprayed all over the interior of his Sao Paulo hotshop. How’s he getting on in the wake of his split with mercurial and moody SF panjandrum Scott Goodson? The other day I caught up with him [...]

Wieden+Kennedy beat agency of record DraftFCB to the task of making Oreo’s Super Bowl ad and it always seemed rather odd that brand owner Mondelez (officially at least) stuck to the story that Oreo would then return to DraftFCB for business as usual. Then The Martin Agency appeared from left field, tasked with creative duties [...]

Here’s Wieden+Kennedy’s Oreo Super Bowl ad for Mondelez, with the obligatory consumer competition this time using Instagram. As everybody expected it’s a cookies vs cream bunfight, appropriately over the top and set in a library. And the verdict? It’s OK, doesn’t drop the ball.

The Super Bowl ad we all want to see before Sunday’s game is Wieden+Kennedy Portland’s for Oreo – Mondelez gave the task to W+K ahead of official lead agency DraftFCB. Apart from info to the effect that it features a struggle between between people who like the crunch and those who like the cream in [...]
